Hi, I'm Pastor Dimas here for Christian Union, and the author of Street God. I just want to read a passage of Scripture with you that had a deep impact on my life, and it's in 2 Corinthians 5:20. It says, "Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ as though God were pleading through us."

Now, what I love about this text was, I was walking the streets, not following God at all, and three women decided that they wanted to change their community. They were the ambassadors. What an ambassador is when Paul is describing this in Corinth, which was a city like New York or another really powerful city with lots of different people, what he's describing as an ambassador is someone that would go in... usually a little older... that would go in with great wisdom and speak for the king. These three women made themselves available. They wanted to shut down the drugs in their community, and they approached me. When they approached me they appealed to me as if God was pleading for my soul.

By the power of their prayers, and their faith and trust in Jesus, they came after me when I was the largest drug dealer in our area at the time, and they laid hands and they prayed, and the power of God showed up. Jesus overcame the evil in my life and I surrendered all to Christ.

So I want to encourage you. As you go out, as you decide to make a difference, Jesus... Just keep this in your mind. Jesus is looking for active people. Jesus is searching for those that want to go out and bring the truth. It says also in Romans 10:14, "and how shall they believe on Him in whom they have not heard, and how shall they hear without a preacher." So I want to encourage you. Be a voice for Jesus. Go out, be used by Him, and expect Him to show up because Jesus shows up when we step out and we do His word.

1. Read and Pray

1 John 1:6-9 – If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Read 1 John 1:5–2:11 for more context.

This morning's Prayer Points

• Praise God for the atoning sacrifice of Jesus.
• Take time to confess and forsake sin and receive the cleansing forgiveness of God.

2. Repent.
What sins do I need to repent of today? What hindrances to my devotion to Christ can I remove today?

3. Respond to the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit, what is the one thing you most want me to do today? (Write it down, and do it today).

4. Represent Christ. 
How will I bear witness to Christ today? With whom shall I share the Gospel today?

5. Raise Your Faith.
Be bold and courageous in living out your faith (Joshua 1:8,9). Choose from one of the following options for a “Joshua Faith Challenge”:

1. Host an all-night prayer meeting. Set a date during June 1-10 and invite friends to come and pray with you for revival in America.
2. Every day, pray for ten friends and family members to come to faith in Christ and look for opportunities to share the gospel with them.
3. Share an evangelistic post on social media every day from June 1-10.
4. Anything else the Lord burdens you to take on that will require courageous faith.
