You know, the more that I'm spending time praying day and night — and I hope you're enjoying this time — this is a blessed time to be with the Lord, and to really focus on your life and spend time with Christ and enjoy Him. But one of the things that I'm reminded of in this time is to really go after God in prayer, really to seek Him day and night with all the passion that you can, with all the zeal that you can and with all the strength that God gives you. I love a passage of scripture where Paul enlightens us on the power of prayer and what the real battle is. He says this in Ephesians 6:12. He says, "We do not wrestle against flesh and blood," but he says "against rulers, authorities, cosmic powers, and present darkness." If there was a time that I could talk about present darkness, it would be this time that we're living in. Paul says, don't do your battle on the natural. Do your battle on your knees. Seek after me, cry out to me, spend time with me.

There is something that happens when believers begin to cry out to God with a pure heart or with a sincere calling from our soul saying, "God, help us Jesus. Show up God, do something great in my life. Do something great in this world." I remember there was a period after I came to Christ and I said, Lord, I need a mentor in my life. And I started to pray two hours a day. And in that prayer I would say, God put the right people in my life that would direct me and help guide me to where you want my life to go. Right around that time, I met a pastor by the name of Tim Keller, before he was the renowned author and bestselling author that he is today. Tim Keller was a preacher, a teacher, who was going about his business, doing his excellence in ministry right in Manhattan.

But when I met him, and later on, to see all that God has done through his life, I said, God, thank you for answering prayer. I remember I was praying and people used to come to me and say, you need to tell your testimony to thousands of people, and I just started to pray," saying God, open doors." Just like the apostle Paul prayed for opportunities to share the gospel. God laid it on Billy Graham's heart to select me, out of all these leaders that were serving, during the time of his last crusade here in New York City, and they said, we want you to share your testimony on that stage to 90,000 people. I'm telling you, a lot of things happen when we pray. A lot of things happen when we trust, and I want to encourage you to trust God day and night. Seek His face, go after Him and watch what happens.
