If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. – John 15:7-11

Do you long to put your faith into action and see God move? Do you hunger to be part of a movement of Christians who band together to seek God for real change? Are you distraught over the brokenness in our society and long for people to know the Answer to all our problems?

You can be part of the solution by joining Christians like you from all denominations and locations to seek God earnestly through a 14-day national fast sponsored by Christian Union. You can read the many testimonies of those who have participated in CU’s recent national fasts: August 2021, January 2022, and CU Magazine article.

“I am immediately sensing the working of the Holy Spirit and hungering to be made whole again. Lord, I want your outcome in everything! I am also sensing the importance of the timing of this fast and repentance in my life and that of my family. Thank you so much for having a heart for God and to be fully His!” – Bert from MD, August 2021 Fast

Many Christians do not realize that fasting is one of the most important ways to humble oneself before God (e.g., Isaiah 58:3; Psalm 69:10; Ezra 8:21; 1 Kings 21:27-29). The Bible promises that “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6). God is eager to give greater grace to us if we will humble ourselves before Him in fasting. And the impact of our humility before God will be even greater, if we do so together in one accord.

A humble attempt to promote the agreement and union of God’s people throughout the world in extraordinary prayer for a revival of religion and the advancement of God’s kingdom on earth, according to scriptural promises and prophecies of the last time” - Jonathan Edwards

Details: Each signed-up participant will receive a daily Bible-based devotional by email.

Each participant will decide how to abstain from food and/or drink during these 14 days. The Bible provides different examples of fasting, from eating only one meal per day to forgoing all foods for multiple days in a row. Only rarely and in very exceptional circumstances does someone abstain from both food and drink. Ask God how you should fast, and please consult your doctor if you have any questions or concerns about fasting. If you have never fasted for days in a row, then join for as long as you can. The most important part of fasting is the humbling of our hearts to seek after God. God's Next Move in America

America’s Christian heritage is among the greatest of all the nations in the world. God’s Kingdom has thrived here through the 1700s, 1800s, and 1900s, largely due to nationwide moves of God’s Spirit. We need another history-making move of God. By His sovereign grace, God ensures that we play a part in Heaven’s work. He draws near to us when we draw near to Him (James 4:8). We must ask, seek, and knock for an outpouring of His Spirit (Luke 11:5-13).

“Whenever God is about to do something truly great,
He first sets His people praying!” Matthew Henry, 1662-1714
