Hi, Matt Bennett here. Let me pray for you. Father, I ask for blessing for all those who are watching, that they would be strengthened, made whole, eager to follow You, full of hope and delight and love. Father, bless them with Your heavenly love on them right now as they watch this video. We ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
I'm sure you know this, but how often do you consider that every living person has one of two destinies? Every person either ends up in heaven for eternity or in hell for eternity. Those are the destinations of all people. There is no middle ground. There are no exceptions. That's where everyone goes. And that reality is a powerful motivator for us to share the Gospel with other people.
It says this reality in the Old Testament. Even most of the teaching on heaven and hell of course is in the Gospels of the New Testament, but let me read here what it says in Daniel 12:2.
"And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever."
That's our role. We get to turn sons to righteousness by sharing the Gospel of Christ with other people. This passage makes it plain even hundreds of years before Christ that that is the destiny of all people. Either with God and His joy and His love forever and ever or with Satan and all of his demons and all those reject God and forever punishment.
That is motivating for me to talk about the Gospel with other people. Not that I necessarily go into all those details. Sometimes I might. But just in my own heart, that I would know that it means so much to the person, even if they don't recognize it, that they will either be with Jesus in a place, a world of love, or they will be in hell and all destruction, all the fear, all the hatred, all the pain and suffering.
We have to accept that. We don't want to believe that. We want to think that that's not the case, but the Scriptures teach it. Jesus is the only one who's able to get us to heaven. He's the one who's made it plain. He speaks more about hell than he does about heaven in the New Testament. And so we need to believe this. It's reality, and I, out of fear or confusion, sometimes I can try to push that aside not want to think that that's the case. But it is the case, and I don't say that to burden you or to make it too heavy for you, but that with an appropriate feeling of compassion for other people, just as you have compassion for people who have some disease, cancer or something like that, and you do something special for them, so also we should take the effort, put energy into, take risks, and share the Gospel with those who haven't heard and had a chance yet to receive Jesus Christ.
So let me conclude this video with a blessing. May God give you faith, may He give you the wisdom of the reality of heaven and hell, may He give you courage and perseverance in every circumstance to make Christ known. Hi, Matt Bennett here. Let me begin this video in a prayer. Father, I ask for all those who are watching, that they would be blessed, changed, strengthened in every way for Your great purposes, to share Your Gospel. That there'd be no fear, and there'd be hope and delight and purpose You in every way. Hear our prayer we ask, in Jesus' name. Amen.
There's this great story in the Bible in 2 Kings about Elisha the prophet, and it centers around a man who is head of the army of the King of Syria. His name was Naaman and he had leprosy. He was a very great man—very capable—but he had heard, through a servant girl, that there was this man in Israel, Elisha, who could possibly heal him. So he goes to see Elisha. He gets to him and Elisha tells him what he must do in order that he may be healed. He was to wash himself seven times in the Jordan River. Naaman thought, "This is ridiculous." First of all, in his mind, the Jordan River wasn't as good as the rivers in Syria and, "What is this washing seven times?"
But he was convinced by one of his servants that “Why not do this?” How is it going to hurt him? Why shouldn't he step forward and do this? So, he goes into the water seven times and sure enough, he comes out and he is healed and he knows that God is real, that there is a God in Israel to be worshiped. God used this seemingly kind of foolish act to show him that God is real, and we have a similar opportunity when we share the Gospel with other people. Sometimes God's going to ask you to share the faith in some unusual time or place or situation where you're going to think, "Well, wait, this makes no sense here. It'd be much more logical to do it some other place. I shouldn't do this. This is silly."
But the Lord will be putting it on your heart to do it anyway, and He wants you to do it just to show that He is God and He can do anything and He can bring people to faith in Christ in any situation, anywhere. So, you might be in a taxi or something like that, or on a bus next to somebody or in a class room or who knows where you might be? A place at work, some place you would never think that this would be a place where the Lord wants you to share the Gospel and yet He will put in on your heart to put it forth. It's times like this where it's important to act and follow through. I've certainly been in those situations where I was foolish and didn't follow through, but by God's Grace other places and times, I have stepped forward and shared the faith in some situations where God's wanted me to put it forth.
It doesn't mean the person will always receive Christ. It's part of their journey. Sometimes you put forward the Gospel and it's their time and other times it's just part of their journey. It won't be till six months later when someone else talks to them, or further on when they receive Christ, but you've played an important role. So God's put you there in their life. So, I encourage you to be willing to be foolish for the purposes of God. Naaman was willing to be foolish to go and bathe seven times, and if you are willing to be foolish, it may mean salvation for coworkers, for friends, for family members, people that you love.

Hi, Matt Bennett here. Let me begin in prayer. Father, we ask for Your blessing and presence for all those watching this. We ask for faith to rise up in the hearts of all who are watching this video, enjoy and delight in You and hope and eagerness to share Your great Gospel with other people. In Jesus' name, Amen.
One way in which you can share the Gospel with the other people, it's a little unconventional that a lot of people don't do it, I mean many do, but just not as often, is that you can ask God to work miraculously in the life of the person that you are witnessing to. By that I mean not just on your own asking in your private prayers, but right there with them. You can pray for their healing, and if they see God move and heal them, then as you can imagine, that really opens up their desire and possibility to embrace Jesus because they got to see Jesus move right in their life right then and there.
Sometimes we can be a little afraid and think, "Well, what if God doesn't heal them right in that moment if I pray for them if they have an illness?" It doesn't set people back. We're more concerned than they are. They appreciate the gesture. People are glad that you care enough to take a moment, to maybe put your hand on their shoulder if they're good with that, and pray for them in some way for healing in them, in their body if they have some sort of ailment. It means a lot to them.
Some of the times, a lot of the times, God will do something and change them. I was praying for someone a number of months ago and I put my hand on her shoulder and prayed and I'll tell you, the look on her face, her eyes just kind of popped open wide with astonishment and she actually felt her body moving around as God was healing her, and it was absolutely astonishing to her. This has a way of just really increasing people's faith as you seek to explain the Gospel to them.
Jesus gives us this pattern. I want to read here from Matthew, chapter 10 in verses 5-8, it says, "These twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them, 'Go nowhere among the Gentiles and enter no town of the Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel and proclaim as you go saying, 'The kingdom of Heaven is at hand.' Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You receive without paying, give without pay."
A lot of times we don't do this because we feel like God won't do something, but He does a lot of the time, and it's our job to step out in faith and do it. This isn't the way to share the Gospel every time, but it is a way a lot of the time, and you'll find when you're with somebody and you know some ailment that they have, you'll feel this kind of prick in your conscience like, "Oh, I think maybe I should pray for them" and you'll want to check yourself, you'll want to think, "Well, no, that's not appropriate here" or something like that. But that coming to your mind, quite possibly, is the Holy Spirit prompting you to move forward and to do this.
Sometimes, there may be healing, sometimes not, but the person knows that you care about them. It's a great way to continue to spread forth the Gospel. Many have come to faith in Jesus this way, and you'll be blessed as you step out and do this. Let me close this with a blessing. My God strengthen and bless you, may you experience Him with great wholeness and faith in your life. May you have great courage to step out and pray for people to be healed as they hear the word of life and embrace the Gospel of our savior, Jesus Christ. Great talking with you. God bless.

Hi, Matt Bennett here. As we begin this video, I want to pray for you. Dear Father, I ask for Your blessing on all who are watching, that they would experience you in full measure, that You would strengthen them in their inner being, and in every way overflow with grace and love and peace and life to other people. Thank you Lord. We ask for your blessing on us this day. In Jesus' name. Amen.
The verse I want to look at today about motivation for evangelism is in Genesis 12. This has to do with the fact that everything we have in life, everything that you have in life, every good thing that you have ever been given, is for you to prosper, for you to be blessed, but also so that you can turn and bless other people. We get this wrong in a couple of ways. One way we can get it wrong is that we think when we receive good things, that we shouldn't experience anything good. That if we're happy or blessed in some way, that it's somehow bad and life shouldn't be like that, we should not enjoy any part of life. That's absolutely false. The other way in which we can get this wrong is that when we receive good things and we're blessed, encouraged and strong, that we just keep it to ourselves, and it's just for us and we just keep it selfishly. Both of those are wrong. God blesses us and gives us good things in life so that we'll be blessed, so that we'll be strong, we'll be happy, we'll be joyful, and so that we will bless other people.
This has always been His pattern. I'm going to read these three verses about Abraham in Chapter 12. Abraham was a father of the people of Israel. He is an incredibly highly regarded man in the Scriptures and spiritual history. This is what it says about him, Genesis 12:1-3. “Now the Lord said to Abram, ‘Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’” That last part there in that all the families of Earth will be blessed—this is what's happened through Jesus. All the families, all the peoples, all the races, everyone around the Earth, is being blessed because it's through Abraham's line, through his people, that the Messiah came.
Now this same principle applies to you today. You've been blessed, you've heard the Gospel, you have your own story in how you came to faith in Jesus Christ. You've also been blessed in other ways and if you sit there for a moment and let the Holy Spirit speak to you, he will remind you of all of these ways in which you've been blessed. All of these things are for your own benefit, for your own joy. But they're also so they can overflow. When it overflows, you get blessed all the more. You get even more joy in your life and more delight because sharing this sort of good news with other people and other things that you have received with other people brings you even more joy. This is God's ways and this is why He has called you to share the faith with other people. Sometimes you can think, "Well it's a hard thing, I wish I didn't have to do this," or, "Wouldn't it be easier if I didn't have to share the faith?" It's not true. It is a great joy to step out and to do this and to share this word of life with other people. They too can know the Savior. Sometimes they believe, sometimes they don't believe, that's between them and God, but it's a great privilege. God has blessed you, has given you new life that you can be a blessing to other people.
Now let me close this video with a blessing towards you. May God bless you, may He strengthen you, may He give you faith, may He give you courage, may He give you wisdom to know that as you follow Him and do His will, you will be all the more strengthened, blessed and joyful. Hi, Matt Bennett here. Let me begin in prayer at the beginning of this video here. Lord, we ask You for Your grace for all of those who are watching, Your goodness, Your power, Your strength, that all who are watching would be filled up in the inside with Your love and with great power and faith to speak forward Your Gospel. In Jesus’ name, amen.
As we continue to reach out in faith and share the Gospel with people, I want to give you a little perspective on a verse in 1 John, chapter 2:27. Let me read this verse for you. It says, “But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.” This is a comfort that John is writing to his readers that they know that the Spirit of God is in them.
Every person who’s believed in the Gospel, the Spirit of God has come into them, and He provides a testimony and a witness to us that Jesus is the Messiah, that He is the Christ. He wasn’t saying in this passage that they don’t have anything to learn about everything and grow in the Christian life. He was telling them that when it comes to knowing that Jesus is the Messiah, that comes by the Spirit of God. The fact that you know that, and that you believe that, that has come only by the anointing of God in your life.
So as you reach out to others in faith, as you speak, you can know with confidence that you already have the Holy Spirit in you. It’s only by Him that you know that Jesus is the Messiah, and that everyone else needs to know Him and that you believe. That’s great comfort as you go out and you share Him with other people. There’s a lot of struggles and a lot of fears sometimes in talking, but the Holy Spirit wants you to know that He is with you. He’s comforting you. Many times I’ve gone out and I’ve sought to share the Gospel, and knowing that God was with me, that He loved me, and sometimes I even feel Him stirring up inside me and giving me that kind of comfort. The Lord loves you.
Let me conclude this video with a blessing. May He, the Lord God, bless you, strengthen you, anoint you for every good purpose as you step out in faith and follow Him and share his Good News to all who will hear. Thank you and God bless.

Hi, I'm Chuck Hetzler with Christian Union Day and Night. I hope you're getting excited about sharing in the Gospel. Even if you're a little nervous I want to encourage you today that God has strategically positioned us to be able to reach those that are in our lives. Acts 17:25-26 tells us that God puts in the exact times and the exact places in order that people would seek after Him. We are part of the planting, part of the watering that God wants to use in an intentional way in the people's lives around us.
There's a great story of this in 2 Kings 5:2-3 that I encourage you with today. “Now bands of raiders from Aram had gone out and taken captive a young girl from Israel and she served Naaman's wife. She said to her mistress, "If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy."” Here's this girl who had been ripped from her family and her nation and yet she has the state of mind, the compassion to tell this evil guy that's taken her captive, "I want you to know who the true God is."
She was there at the right time and the right place and all she did was point him to the right message. We can do the same thing. God has strategically positioned us in those places to reach the people that are around us. Even if we feel like we don't have all the answers or the best way to say it, we can point them to a resource. In fact, Christian Union Day and Night is creating a resource for you to point your friends and your family to. A Gospel page that will lead them through the basic steps of what the Gospel message is and how to respond.
You might just be that person who just says, "Hey, check this out." And it might change their life forever. God has put us in the right times and the right places. Take heart my friends, my brothers and sisters. Let's be bold in sharing this message with those that God's put us around. God bless you.

Hi, I'm Chuck Hetzler with Christian Union Day and Night. This is Gospel month, and we are preparing to share the Gospel with friends and family, maybe people who've been in our lives for a long time that we just haven't taken the time or the initiative to reach out to or maybe fresh people that God's putting on our hearts and minds to share with. It's going to be a great month of lifting up Jesus's name, taking bold steps of faith as Christians, and seeing people's lives changed for eternity.
As you are preparing to share, I want to encourage you that the Holy Spirit is with you, and for you to act on his power that rests inside of you. Remember the role of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said in Acts 1:8 that “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and then you'll be my witnesses.” If we want to be witnesses for Jesus Christ, we need to rely on the power of the Holy Spirit. If you're a Christian, if you're a follower of Jesus Christ, you have the Holy Spirit in you, but it's good to recognize Him. It's good to ask him for his help. It's good to seek to be filled with Him when we seek to do his work, Ephesians 5:18.
As you go forward, take a moment or take time as you're praying beforehand. Asking Holy Spirit, fill me. Use me. Empower me that I can be an effective witness for you. Give me the words to say. Let me have your heart and compassion for this person, and on and on and on you can pray. We need the Holy Spirit's help. Even if you don't feel the Spirit's presence in your life, that's okay. It's always best when we do, of course, but you need to sometimes just go forward by faith that the Holy Spirit's going to meet you there and going to help you there even if you're unaware. By faith we can go forward in the power of the Spirit. So go forward in that confidence knowing he's with you, and he will help you and use you. God bless.

Hi. I'm Chuck Hetzler with Christian Union Day and Night. It's Gospel Month, and we are sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with intentionality this month, and stretching ourselves to lift up Jesus' name, publicly declare Him, and share the Gospel with those that we love and that God brings across our paths. As you are thinking about what you would do this month to share the Gospel and preparing yourself for that, I want to encourage you from 2 Corinthians 5. In fact, it's a great passage that you ought to just go and read beforehand to prepare yourself to be God's ambassadors. That's what Paul's talking about in that section of Scripture. He's saying, "Hey, we are the ambassadors for God on the earth as if God is making His appeal through us." There's just so much motivation there that Paul includes about how he sees himself in that way and what propels him to keep going in being a missionary and an evangelist for Jesus Christ.
One of the verses I'll pull out from that chapter, chapter 5 of 2 Corinthians, is verse 16, where he says, "From now on, we regard no one from a worldly point of view.” From now on, we regard no one from a worldly point of view. It's an interesting thought, but what I take from it and what helps me when I think about being a witness for Jesus is that I don't look so much at people in terms of how they might respond, or how willing I think they are to believe, or what they'll think about me. I kind of almost zone out and block out every other kind of normal social construct or social manner that we would typically think of when we relate to people.
Some of that's good. Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater, but more of what I'm trying to say is I think about them from a spiritual standpoint. I think about the fact that God loves them, that God created them, and that He sent His Son to die for them to believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I think about it from God's perspective. I think about them and their lost state, that they need Jesus Christ, and I think about the fact that they don't even know what they're missing. They're dead. They're blind. They're stuck in their sin. They don't realize. If they could realize, if somebody could wake them up and let them know, boy, would they want that.
I think about people from those kinds of angles, and it helps me to overcome some of those things that would otherwise hold me back, those kind of PC things or socially acceptable things, and allows me to step forward with greater compassion and love for them and greater boldness and confidence to speak out even what may seem unusual to say in some conversations or some public settings. From now on, don't regard these people from a worldly point of view. See their souls. See them from the way that God sees them, and God will give you strength as you do that, as you arm yourself with that Word of His to see them in that way. God bless you. Hi, I'm Chuck Hetzler with Christian Union Day and Night. So glad that you're joining in the Gospel Month of May as we prepare to share the Gospel with our friends and family, to stretch ourselves, and to exalt the name of Jesus Christ in our nation, which is what we're praying and seeking God for with Day and Night.
As you are preparing and building your faith up for this time to share the Gospel, I want to encourage you to know that the power is not just in you, but the power is in the message that you share—in the word of the Gospel itself. That's what Jesus taught us in this parable in Mark chapter 4. Verse 26, He begins, "This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts, though he does not know how. All by itself, the soil produces grain, first the stalk then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it because the harvest has come."
I think one of the main things that Jesus is teaching us from that parable is that it's not so much dependent upon the farmer to produce the harvest, but just in him sewing the seed. It's the seed that has the power that will inevitably lead to a harvest. So as you share, even if you feel like, "Ah, I wish I could've said this or that" or "I wish I could've come at it from a different angle." That's okay. Trust in the power of the seed. You've sewn something that has power in and of itself to bring life to that person.
Paul said, Romans 1:16, "I'm not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes." He wasn't ashamed and he was a bold witness, not because he felt like, "Hey, I'm really a great apostle but because I carry a powerful message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it will bring salvation to everyone who believes it." So go forward in confidence as you share this month.

Hi. I'm Chuck Hetzler with Christian Union Day and Night. We are participating in the Gospel Month of May, sharing the Gospel, encouraging and challenging ourselves to lift up the name of Jesus and publicly speak and share the Gospel with our friends and family members and whoever God would lead across our paths in these weeks ahead. I want to encourage you from the pages of Scripture, from the mouth of Jesus, that you never know when it's time for someone to come to faith. You never know when there's that apple that's just hanging by a thread for you to pick. There's people around you that God will put in our lives that are more ready than we would think.
You can't always judge a book by its cover. You don't always know, and sometimes it'll surprise you the people that on the inside have been wrestling with coming to faith in Christ, or they've been struggling with something in their lives and they're just a prayer away, a conversation away from giving their lives to the Lord. I take that from Jesus' words after his encounter with the woman of Samaria at the well in John chapter four. Jesus said this to His disciples, "Don't you have a saying that it's still four months until harvest? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields. They are ripe for harvest." Now's the time of salvation.
There are people, I'm convinced, and the more that I share, the more that I talk to people, the more I realize, there are people around us all the time who are ready to know Jesus Christ. Obviously not everybody is. We know that there are different kinds of soil from that passage of the farmer and the one who goes out and sows the seed. Some are going to fall on rocky ground, but some seed's going to fall on good ground. There's a lot of soil out there. Jesus is telling us that now's the time for harvest. Don't wait until it seems like you think it's time for somebody to put their faith in Christ. Give it to them now, and it might just surprise you, the effect that it has and the readiness that's already there when we don't expect it. Go forward brothers and sisters, be encouraged. Be full of faith that you're going to enter into the harvest as you share in this month and forward. God bless.

Hi, I'm Chuck Hetzler with Christian Union Day and Night. God bless you for joining in on this movement in the month of May to share the Gospel with your friends and family, and however God calls you. As you're thinking about how God would have you to participate in this month of May, I want you to think about what it would be like if we did not share the Gospel. How would the world be different? What would the consequence be if we were silent?
One of the things is that the world itself would be a darker place. It will be a worse place when Christians are silent. That's what Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:13. He said, "You are the salt of the earth. If the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify the Father in heaven."
We are called to live lives that are public and to speak out the message of Jesus Christ. When we don't do those things, we can expect that the world will devolve into worse and worse situations. When we look at the world around us, when we look at our society around us and we see it crumbling and decaying, we shouldn't point the finger at them and say, "You guys are so bad. Get your act together." We should actually point the finger at ourselves, at the church, at Christians and say, "What are we doing? What are we missing? How are we not being the salt to this earth? How are we not letting our light shine to the extent that it's brightening up the civilization in which we live?" We've got to fill our role.
That's what we are doing, praise God, this month of May. As you're thinking about it, just take advantage of it. Lean into it. Think about, "God, how can You use me? Where do You want to use me? Go with me so that I can make this world a place that's not only just better in terms of society and things like that, but how can I also bless people's lives that they can be reconciled to You and have the life abundant here and hereafter that You have come to give?" Hi. I'm Chuck Hetzler with Christian Union Day and Night. I’m so proud of you for joining us in this effort to share the Gospel, the month of May, to spread the word, to be a part of what we're praying for and that is to see the name of Jesus Christ lifted high across this country.
As you are preparing to participate in this month, think about what it would be like if we chose not to participate to the fullest extent that God's calling us to. And one of the consequences of us not sharing the Gospel, would be the mere fact that we are not obeying our Lord. He has called us to share the Gospel, to make disciples of other people. If we remember just the great commission that we all know so well, I'll read it again, Mathew 28, verse 19, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Evangelism isn't something that we should wait to do until we feel ready, or until we feel the urge, or until the circumstance is right. Evangelism, sharing the Gospel, is something that we should do as a matter of obedience, in the same way that we should love other people, in the same way that we should forgive other people, in the same way we should be faithful to our spouses, in that same way as a matter of obedience to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we need to be people who are participating actively in a lifestyle of evangelism.
It doesn't necessarily mean that we have to speak the Gospel message to every single person we ever encounter, or come across, but that we are strategically, prayerfully, active in our lives, in sharing the Gospel, asking God, praying every day, asking for opportunities. "God, who do you want me to share with?" Cultivating friendships with neighbors and co-workers and things like that, in order to be able to move towards this one direction of making disciples. We're not being fully his disciple, unless we are also making other disciples. God, give us your grace to be faithful and obedient, to share your word, with all those that you've called us to in our lives. God bless you guys as you go forth and you do that.

Hi, I'm Chuck Hetzler with Christian Union Day and Night. God bless you for joining in this effort to share the Gospel, to spread the news of Jesus Christ wherever we possibly can, as we seek to see God work in our country in great and new ways. As you're thinking about how God is going to have you participate in this month of sharing the Gospel, I thought about what it is that we would be missing if we don't, or when we don't share the Gospel. One of those things that's so obvious, but yet that we need to come face to face with, is that people will not believe and be saved if we're silent from sharing the Gospel.
Romans 10 verse 13 and following--I want to read a few verses for you here--it says, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one in whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news?"
We are encouraging you, and sending you, and we're going ourselves, because we know that there's a necessity that we have to play a role in bringing people to salvation. It doesn't mean we're responsible for making them believe. It doesn't mean that we are the ones who cause them to be saved. They're saved when they believe, but how can they believe unless they hear, and how can they hear unless somebody tells them? We've got to tell them. We can't assume, on the one hand, that other people are going to do the job. We've got to step up. We've got to know, "God has put me in this person's life so that I can be the one, or one of the ones, who shares with them. I've got to fill that lane that God has put me in."
On the other hand, we shouldn't assume that God is sovereign, and he'll just save them if He wants to save them. There is such a thing as God's sovereignty, but there's also such a thing as human responsibility, and God puts both of those things together. We're not the one who negotiates that, who figures that out. We're the ones to obey and say, "God, you have called me to be the one who tells them, and by my telling them, and by the work of your Holy Spirit, you save them." We've got to enter into that.
It reminds me of what William Carey, around the 1800 mark, and turn of that 19th century, found in the resistance, is he wanted to go out and share the Gospel around the world in world missions. It was said that Carey said, "Hey, we've got to go and tell these people who have never heard about Jesus." It was said that one of the elders in that meeting where William Carey was making his proposal for world missions, one of the elders said something like this, "Young man, if God wants to save the heathen, he'll do it all by himself, without the help of you or me."
Some of that sounds theologically true, but obviously, we know that Carey was right, and that that's not the whole truth, that we must also be a coworker with God in planting the seed and watering it, but it's God who gives the growth. God bless you as you go out, and you let others hear, and have the opportunity to believe and be saved.

Hi, I'm Chuck Hetzler with Christian Union Day and Night. So glad that you are joining this effort to share the Gospel in the month of May to spread the word all around America, all around your community. Let it start with us. If revival fires are burning in the Church, there's definitely going to be people who are being bold and outspoken about their faith.
As you think about what God would have you to do for this month of May, I've thought about what would we be missing if we don't take advantage of sharing to the fullest extent in this effort in the month of May of evangelism. I thought about Acts chapter 1 verse 8 and the fact that if we are silent, then we are clenching the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Acts 1:8 says, "But you will receive power,” Jesus said to his disciples, “when the Holy Spirit comes and then you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth." Power to witness comes when the Holy Spirit is filling us. We all know, as Christians, that the Holy Spirit dwells inside us and He wants to work through us and do the works of God and exalt the name of Jesus, not only just in our lives but through our lives to other people, to be witnesses.
We saw the before and after with the disciples, didn't we? They were cowering away in fear and unbelief before the Holy Spirit came but when He came, it was a completely different story. They stood up with courage and bravely shared about Jesus Christ without thought of consequence to themselves, only that they could let the whole world know who this Jesus was.
If we silence ourselves, if we hold back in sharing the message of life in Jesus Christ, then we're stifling the work of the Holy Spirit in ourselves and we certainly don't want to do that. We don't want to suffer that cost. As you think and as you plan, as you pray to share with your friends, with your family, with whomever God is calling you to share with, know that if you do this, the Holy Spirit's work will be coursing through you and it will be a beautiful display of God's glory and His work of redemption in your life and through your life. Hi, I'm Pastor Dimas, the president of Concerts of Prayer and author of Street God. I want to tell you, the greatest missionary act that has ever taken place was God sending His son Jesus into this hostile world to bring the Good News through His death and His resurrection. I mean, if you think about it, Jesus was placed in the stomach of a teenaged mom. He was born in a hostile territory where Herod wanted to have Him killed. He was born in a manger, in a barn where disease could have been present. Poverty was there. Everything you can think of that would make the birth almost look like a public disaster, but then Jesus comes back, and He dwells among us, and He ministers for three years, and He plants disciples that went and ministered in various parts of the world.
This is the love of Jesus Christ. And because of that love, that should challenge us to do the same. It should challenge us to go out and tell people of His story, to tell people that may have started from prosperous beginnings or humble beginnings, that God can relate to all of us. He left the throne to come and reach the lowly at heart. And, for those that are poor, He was born in a poor state and rose to esteem through service and through care.
This is a story that must be told. It's documented so well in John 3:16 where it says, "God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, so whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." I love the way it said in John 1:1 where it describes that the Word became flesh and made its dwelling among us.
We have the gift to tell that story. We have the opportunity every day that we're alive to share that story. And I want to encourage you to know this. Something miraculous takes place when this story is shared in its purest form. I want you to go out there and be a storyteller. Tell people about the love of Jesus Christ, and you're going to see hearts and minds be transformed right before your eyes.
Why do we do it? Because the Great Commission challenges us in Matthew 28 to go out and to tell the Good News. And, I'm telling you, it is good news. God bless. Keep looking up and keep Christ number one and tell someone today about the love of Jesus Christ.

Hi, I'm Pastor Dimas. Thank you so much for taking the time to hear this message.
I want to tell you, there are several ways to communicate Christ to lost people, and maybe you feel like just boldly going out and telling someone about the Gospel is a hard way to go for you. Maybe you have the gift of being an inviter. Maybe you have the ability to bring people along to hear a message from an expert, like a pastor or a teacher. One thing that you can do, if you have trouble communicating the Gospel yourself, is you can bring people to church, you can bring people to a Bible study. You can invite them to come over and have a friend share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I love the way Romans 10:14 says—it says this way—it says, "How then can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?"
Mostly, evangelism doesn't happen because most people don't take it seriously, they don't care enough to be engaged, and they feel like somebody else is going to witness. In this time of study, we want you to take ownership of doing your part in making disciples, and one way to do that is to galvanize people together to hear the good news.
For several years when I came to Christ, I didn't feel like I was an expert communicator, so I used to put people in a van, I used to call the church to send a vehicle, or I'd put people in my car. I would drive them to the Sunday service, they would agree to come, always made sure I picked them up, I think that's a critical point, or a designated meeting place, "Let's meet for breakfast, and then let's go to church." I had the highest success rate with that, instead of telling people, "Just meet me at a cold building with a hard address."
I'd bring people to church and I saw it time and time again. People would give their lives to Christ, after the Sunday message was preached. So I want to encourage you, go out there, invite people to hear the Good News. And I'm telling you, God will bless you for putting forth an effort to make disciples in this challenging era and time in which we live.

Hi. I'm Pastor Dimas, the president of Concerts of Prayer and the author of Street God. I want to tell you one of the main things that stops people from sharing the Gospel is the area of rejection. It's not easy to have a conversation with someone and then in the middle of the conversation, turn and say, "You know, I would love to tell you about this relationship I have with God," or be there with a coworker and say, "Can we meet and discuss Jesus?" You know, it's not an easy thing to do, so I really have a lot of compassion towards people that want to share Christ. One of the things that I love to do, and I usually do, is I say to people, "You know what? If you could have everything that you've done wrong forgiven, would you accept that?"
When people say yes, I often say, "I have good news to share with you" and I find that gives me a great segway into sharing the truth, but here's the thing we can't be scared of, is to be rejected. You will be rejected and there are a lot of people that are receptive, but here's what I want to remind you that Jesus says. He says this, which is powerful, in Luke 10:16. He says, "Whoever listens to you, listens to me; whoever rejects you, rejects me; but whoever rejects me, rejects Him who sent me." People are going to reject Jesus, but God still compels us to go out and to share the Good News, and it is that. It is real good news.
Sometimes in life it's hard to give a blessing to people. It's hard to give a gift to people, so when we give the gift or the blessing of the Gospel, just know that some people are going to make it really tough, but I want to encourage you, keep going. Keep pressing in because you have the answer, even if they don't know it, to most of the serious problems that plague people's lives. Jesus boldly, boldly poured out His life so that you could have life with abundance. I just want to really encourage you to go out and share the love of Jesus Christ. Tell people about who He is and what He accomplished on the cross. This world really needs Him. God bless. Keep looking up and keep Christ number one.

Hi, I'm Pastor Dimas and I had the privilege of sharing the Gospel on every continent in the world except for Antarctica. My target audience was always non-Christians, even til today. I want to share with you that in every audience there's going to be people who are going to respond to the gospel. It's rare that you get no response. Several times I would go and I would share, just as Peter did. One of the greatest sermons ever preached was by the Apostle Peter in Acts, Chapter Two. What I learned is he's right, and the responses that he got is the same response you'll probably get. He says when he first went out and preached he said some were perplexed. And when you go out and share the Gospel, there's some people that are going to be perplexed. They're gonna be like, "What is this? Is this real? What's going on?" Just know in every crowd there's gonna be the perplexed type that's gonna be sitting there.
Then there's going to be some that make fun of it. There's going to be some that's like, "This is crazy. I don't believe in God. Are you kidding me? What's he talking about? Is he drunk? Is he crazy?" There's going to be some people out there that, when you declare Jesus, it's going to make no sense to them. They're going to laugh, they're going to giggle. That's what they do. They do it to everything. Know that there's going to be those type of people in the crowd, but don't be afraid because there's another group and those are the followers of Christ. That group is described in John 10:10 and that's the group that I look for in every crowd. I know I'm going to have the perplexed, I know I'm going to have those that are going to make fun of it and going to try to distract others, but there's also going to be a group of believers. And in John 10:10 He says, "My sheep know my voice." That's the crowd that you're aiming for.
The more that you go out and share the Good News, there's going to be some that are going to look at you perplexed like, "How could you believe this way?" There's going to be some that's going to go, "Nah. Guess what? That's not for me." And there are going to be several that the minute they hear the Good News, they're going to look at you, sometimes with eyes full of tears, and they'll say, "That's what I need in my life." I want to encourage you. Don't be afraid, don't be scared of the perplexed, don't be scared of those that are going to make fun because there's some that you're going to talk to that it's going to be like music in their ears. That's who I was. I was the sheep when I heard the voice of Jesus through people. God spoke to my heart and I said, "I want you, Jesus."
Get ready as you share the Good News that some are going to follow after you. God bless. Keep looking up. Keep Christ number one. And remember, you're the voice that they're going to respond to and without your voice, they may not ever respond, so go get them for Jesus.

Hi, I'm Pastor Dimas. Often people ask, “Why do you even care about evangelism?” One of the verses that always comes to mind is John 10:10. I want to read it. This motivates me to evangelize, as well as the Great Commission. This one in particular, I think of, when I look at John 10:10. It says, "The thief comes only to steal and to kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life and have life to the full."
Part of the reason I evangelize is because I believe evangelism helps people. I believe people get tormented by darkness in this world. I meet some people that face depression, anger issues, broken marriages, broken relationships. They have no life full of abundance, no life full of joy. And I found that there's something dynamic in the power of the gospel.
The reason that I go out and tell people about Jesus, is because I believe Jesus helps people. He helps people to live a better life. Marriages improve, health improves, relationships go much better when people are caring about others instead of just focusing sincerely on themselves. All these kind of dynamics happen when we introduce people to the love of Jesus. That's what moves me to go out and to tell people.
Some people don't even realize there's a disease in this world. The most deadly disease in this world is not H-I-V but it's S-I-N, sin. God has given us the cure to sin. With having that cure, how could I walk and dwell on this world, dwell in this world, and keep it to myself? I'm full of joy. I laugh a lot. I'm happy. I have a great marriage. I have a roof over my head. I have kids that love the Lord. I have people around me that care for me, and they're not even family members. We are the family of God.
Because of that great experience that I have with Jesus, I want others to experience that love and joy that comes from the family of God when Christ washes away the sins in our lives. I'm not being arrogant, like, “now we're perfect and everything is bad.” I still live in a broken world. But having the joy of Jesus in this broken world, having a God that I know is going to come through, I have a God that promises to show up time and time again. That motivates me to connect other people with the love of Jesus.
I want to challenge you. Go out and tell people about the love of Jesus. God bless, keep looking up, and make Christ number one in your life.

Hi, I'm Pastor Dimas and I am the President of Concerts of Prayer and the author of the international best-selling book called Street God. Sometimes I tell my story, which is awesome, but also a little crazy.
I was selling drugs since I was 11 years old. Not from a poor family, but from a middle class family in Queens, New York. As I started to sell these drugs, I started to have this crazy lifestyle—had to escape with handcuffs, had to get away from New York City—and at an early age I became a drug boss and then later a kingpin drug dealer.
In that process, I got introduced to the demonic world. That means, evil controlled my heart. As my good mentor's wife, Kathy Keller would say, "Dimas, you a prime candidate to be demonically oppressed," because of the lifestyle I was living. What I realized in that process is that evangelism first begins with people that care. I was out of my mind. I was a kingpin drug dealer. I had guns, had weapons, had pounds and pounds of marijuana and crack cocaine. And three women—three elderly women—made up their mind that they were going to stop the drugs in their community.
They came and they shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with me. But first, they realized they were dealing with the demonic powers that were living in me. So they held a prayer meeting with me and the power of God showed up because they cared. And afterwards, after I was set free, after hours of prayer—which, when somebody really cares for you, they take that much time to pray for you—after hours of prayer that demonic influence left me and I was finally free. And I accepted Christ. Now I've led thousands of people to Jesus. I've been free from drugs, from hustling. I've witnessed in jails, I preach on the streets, I preach in stadiums, I preach on television because of three women that cared enough to evangelize me.
I'm telling you, there's someone out there in your community that needs you to go and share the love of Jesus Christ and I want to boldly challenge you. Share Christ in your community, talk to people about the truth. The last person they probably thought was that a drug dealer would respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but here I am over 20 years later, following boldly after Jesus.

Hi. Matt Bennett here. As you reach out and share the Gospel, and as you take the message of life to friends and family, I want you to think about two sides of it which could be helpful as you do this. One is its incredible generosity. That's one side of it. The other side of it is its demands.
First of all, its generosity. It says in Ephesians 2:8-9 that “by grace you've been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves, it is a gift of God and not a result of any works on your behalf.” So it's an incredible gift. It's free. What you're offering as you speak this Gospel to other people is the most incredible gift, the most incredible act of generosity by God to humanity. That Christ would endure all of this for the sake of us is absolutely incredible. We can't earn it. We can't do enough good works to get ourselves into salvation, to have all of our sins forgiven, to be reconciled to God. It only comes by the free gift from God.
But there's another side to this, and a side that we don't talk to as much, but there are demands to the Gospel. It says in Acts 17:30 this incredible statement. This is where the Apostle Paul is speaking to a lot of non-believing philosophers in the city of Athens. This is a non-Jewish and a non-Christian audience, and he says to them, “God overlooked things in the past, the ignorance of the past that humanity had, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.” This is Acts 17:30.
So there's an obligation. There's a demand of the Gospel of this message going out to the whole world that forgiveness is offered in Jesus Christ. There is the demand that everyone respond to it. In the past, before Jesus came, God overlooked in some measure the fact that people were ignorant and didn't know, but now things have changed. He demands. He expects everyone. The scripture says here He commands everyone to repent and turn to Him.
So that reveals the weightiness and the significance and the importance. The Gospel isn't just for Christians. The Gospel isn't just for those who want to accept it. The Gospel is for everyone. Not everyone will respond to it, but it is for everyone. It is God's message to the whole world that everybody, every living creature return to Him. I leave that with you as you seek the Lord, as you reach out to friends and family and share this message of life. It's incredible in that it's free. It's incredible that it's an expectation that all would respond. God bless.

Hi, Matt Bennett here. During this month of May at dayandnight.org we have this emphasis of sharing the Gospel because revival comes in part as we are making the Gospel of our Savior, Jesus Christ, known everywhere. Thank you for joining with so many of us together to share the Gospel with friends, neighbors, acquaintances, whoever.
Part of our motivation today has to do with why we should share, why we should take the time, why we should make the effort. There's some insightful comments here in Matthew chapter nine. It says; “And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
What's remarkable about this passage is that He sees the people and He has compassion on them. He says that they're harassed and helpless. This is the natural state of the human soul apart from God, no matter what the appearances are, and this is where it can be deceiving.
I remember a time some years ago and I met this man and he seemed…He had been self-educated, extraordinarily brilliant, very accomplished in so many different areas and it even came into my mind: “Well, this person is fine without God, they don't need God, they're just fine, everything's fantastic.” I literally thought that in my mind as I was with him. Wouldn't you know, I guess it was a month or so later, right there that this man had been wanted in several states for various crimes, that he had been escaped probation and was on the lam, so to speak. Here, I had thought that everything was great and he had no need for Christ; was a total lie.
The scriptures say that people are harassed and helpless apart from Christ and therefore Jesus had compassion on them and then we have the opportunity to have compassion on them. Everybody needs Christ. Now, some may not want Him and that's their business. We're not going to force Him on them. However, we are going to make Him known. We're going to let them know that He exists, that He loves them and that He will forgive them if they want that, that He loves them. That's our job. Whether they do anything with it is up to them.
The need is there. People may not always recognize it, the need is there. People are harassed and helpless, and as you go out and you share the Gospel with others, remember that. No matter what a person's appearance or their station in life, they need Jesus Christ. God Bless.

Hi, Matt Bennett here. This is Monday, May 1st, the evening of our emphasis for sharing the Gospel in the month of May. We believe this is critically important. Whenever revival happens, it is accompanied with mass spreading of the Gospel, people hearing the Gospel all over the place. Almost one thousand of us have signed up and committed together to take the Gospel to our friends, our neighbors, everywhere.
Let me read what is perhaps the most famous passage on evangelism and the great commission in the Bible. It's from Matthew 28. Jesus says, 28:18-20, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded them. And behold I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
This is the promise we have from our Savior Jesus Christ, as we go out and take the Gospel everywhere. Since Jesus gave that command two thousand years ago, the Gospel has been going to more and more people, more tribes, more places, more nations, both in absolute numbers and as a percentage of the world's population. There are more Christians now, not just in total numbers, but percentage of the world's population, than at any time in history, because this is coming to pass. The Gospel is going everywhere.
Even outside of the remote parts of the world, there are people in our own neighborhoods, and in our own families who don't know Jesus Christ, and that's what this month is about. It’s that here in the United States, in your place of work, or where you socialize, your family, and whatever else—people you run into—that we would make an emphasis to share the Gospel of our savior Jesus Christ.
We are getting inspired by these videos, the first couple of weeks. May 14th will be the last day where we commit in terms of how many people we share with during this month. Then we'll need to do it all by May 28th, even though people will commit as soon as tomorrow May 2nd, and start sharing the Gospel.
Look for opportunities, pray for opportunities. I encourage you to pray every day for friends and family you want to see come to faith in Christ. God will use you. Use the website we have for training, for inspiration. God bless.

Hi, Matt Bennett here. I'm so excited you joined with us. There are about a thousand of us almost who have committed together during the month of May to share Christ with people that we love so that they may know how to know Christ, how to walk with him. This is May 1st, Monday, we're starting off. I want to tell you how I came to faith in Christ. I live in New York City now. I was born in Houston, Texas and I'm so grateful I have a believing mother. She gave me Christian books when I was a boy to read. I learned to read on these books, how to know God, all the Bible stories and everything else. I knew the Gospel, I knew the basics of the Christian faith and even how to know God personally before first grade. Of that I am absolutely sure and I'm so thankful.
I still remember the man going door-to-door selling Christian books. I was there with my mom and he came in. He made a presentation on them. My mom bought them for us and I learned about God, all of his glorious purposes for me, his willingness to forgive me all of my sins and to walk with me my whole life. So many do not have that opportunity. It wasn't until I went to college in the Northeast that I realized so many people have never heard the Gospel. They just don't know. It's not like they've considered and rejected, they just don't know. It's my passion and desire that we give everybody a chance to know Christ, to know God through the Gospel of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
During this month we're going to have the opportunity to hear for two weeks, morning and evening, video inspiration from a few of us to encourage you to share your faith. From now, May 1st up until Sunday, May 14th, you're allowed the opportunity to commit how many people you want to share the Gospel with through May 28th. You can go on the website and you can do it there. Up until that time, May 14th, though after that time there won't be the opportunity and we'll just spend the next couple of weeks sharing Christ with people but we can, of course, start that immediately.
Consider that, pray about that, ask God how many. Maybe you have specific names of loved ones or family members you want to share with. I encourage you to write those names out, pray for those people each day. Then let us know on the website how many you plan to share with. Then all together we can celebrate how many have come to know faith in Christ and how many are we able to share the Gospel with during this month. Thank you for joining in with us. Hi, Matt Bennett here. Let me begin in prayer at the beginning of this video here. Lord, we ask You for Your grace for all of those who are watching, Your goodness, Your power, Your strength, that all who are watching would be filled up in the inside with Your love and with great power and faith to speak forward Your Gospel. In Jesus’ name, amen.
As we continue to reach out in faith and share the Gospel with people, I want to give you a little perspective on a verse in 1 John, chapter 2:27. Let me read this verse for you. It says, “But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.” This is a comfort that John is writing to his readers that they know that the Spirit of God is in them.
Every person who’s believed in the Gospel, the Spirit of God has come into them, and He provides a testimony and a witness to us that Jesus is the Messiah, that He is the Christ. He wasn’t saying in this passage that they don’t have anything to learn about everything and grow in the Christian life. He was telling them that when it comes to knowing that Jesus is the Messiah, that comes by the Spirit of God. The fact that you know that, and that you believe that, that has come only by the anointing of God in your life.
So as you reach out to others in faith, as you speak, you can know with confidence that you already have the Holy Spirit in you. It’s only by Him that you know that Jesus is the Messiah, and that everyone else needs to know Him and that you believe. That’s great comfort as you go out and you share Him with other people. There’s a lot of struggles and a lot of fears sometimes in talking, but the Holy Spirit wants you to know that He is with you. He’s comforting you. Many times I’ve gone out and I’ve sought to share the Gospel, and knowing that God was with me, that He loved me, and sometimes I even feel Him stirring up inside me and giving me that kind of comfort. The Lord loves you.
