Saturday, March 9, 2019 - Day 9
In my morning and evening devotions I’ve been reading a lot from the book of Deuteronomy. Did you know that Jesus quotes more from this book than any book in the Old Testament and that it speaks more about our love for God and God’s love for us than any book in the Bible? That may come as a surprise since it’s in the Old Testament, but I encourage you to read it and see for yourself!
Deuteronomy 17:18-20 shows God’s intention that the kings of Israel would write for themselves their own copies of the books of the Bible so that they would be better able to know it, follow it and not think themselves better than other people. I think this is a great motivation for Christians today to read the Bible as part of morning and evening devotions to stay strong in God!
Only one day left with the Great Experiment! I’m praying for you and may the Lord bless you as you seek Him!
Yours in Christ,

Here is today’s guide for the “Five Rs” of The Great Experiment, March 1-10, 2019.
1. Read and Pray
Hebrews 10:24 - “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.”
Read Hebrews 10:1-39 for more context.
Today’s Prayer Points
- Ask the Spirit to show you who you should encourage today.
- Prayerfully examine your own schedule to ensure that you are spending adequate time gathering with other believers so that you can receive fresh encouragement.
- Pray for your local church leaders and members.
2. Repent.
What sins do I need to repent of today? What hindrances to my devotion to Christ can I remove today?
3. Respond to the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit, what is the one thing you most want me to do today? (Write it down, and do it today).
4. Represent Christ.
How will I bear witness to Christ today? With whom shall I share the Gospel today?
5. Raise Your Faith.
God, give me the strength and courage to complete my Joshua Faith Challenge.
