Pray for Life in the US

Whoever sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed,
for God made man in his own image.
– Genesis 9:6

Each and every person has innate value to God because He has created every human being in His image. Regardless of age, sex, ethnicity, giftedness, authority, or behavior, there is inherent worth in every person that God knits together in the womb. God esteems each human life and teaches us to do the same. 

When human life is oppressed, or worse, taken without cause, great guilt comes upon those responsible. For example, Numbers 35:33 says, 

You shall not pollute the land in which you live, for blood pollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except by the blood of the one who shed it. 

Since the legalization of abortion in the US in 1973, approximately 60,000,000 babies have been killed in what should’ve been the safest place – their own mother’s womb. The amount of blood shed and subsequent guilt in our nation is beyond imagination. May the Lord have mercy.
