Day 21 – "That the Name of Our Lord Jesus May Be Glorified in Us"

when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed. To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you for joining this 21-Day fast of self-humbling to seek the Lord and His strength.  It’s been an honor to walk with you in this pursuit of the God who has made us, loves us, and who has sent His son for us.  We know that there will be no fasting in heaven because we will be with the Lord face to face, free of the sinful nature and without need to crucify it through fasting.  One day our Lord Jesus will return to earth and indeed will be marveled at among all who have believed.  It will be a breathtakingly extraordinary experience!  

Our yearning until the day He returns is that we may be made worthy of His calling, fulfilling every good work He intends for us by His power.  This indeed will happen as the church in America rises up and draws close to Him like never before.  Setting aside half-hearted Christianity that dominates so much of the West, we are returning to Him with joy and eagerness, experiencing His presence like never before.  We refuse to seek Him as is comfortable and familiar, but instead seek Him as He requires, according to His standards of obedience and righteousness.  God has made us so that Jesus may be glorified in us and us in Him, so we set aside anything that stands in the way of that.  

Over the three weeks you have prayed for family, friends, church members, your city and nation - that we may be one in Him, fully devoted to Him in all our ways.  He pours out His Spirit when we seek Him earnestly, breaking strongholds, bringing loved-ones to faith and shifting the spiritual climate.  Every sincere prayer lifted up before Him in faith is carefully recorded by Him that He may respond with love toward His creation.  We are trusting God for a revival and awakening like the nation has never seen, and every step of faith we make toward Him is part of His glorious plan to rend the heavens and pour forth His Spirit like never before.  We are trusting Him to do the impossible!  May His name be glorified in every way.
