"...like never before…” was a consistent theme in many of the testimonies we received from the 14-day fast for 2022 and for our nation.
The Lord sometimes works while we fast and pray and sometimes afterwards, but He is always faithful to see and act when we humble ourselves before Him. Praise His name!
Almost 4,500 American Christians joined the days of fasting and prayer around the theme: National Obedience Brings National Revival. Here are a few of the testimonies.
Through this fast, God has broken my heart WIDE open for the young, unchurched people of the US. I have been driven to my knees like never before to plead with God to bring about revival to Gen Z (born year 2000-onward). My prayers include praying for God to raise up more faithful ministers to proclaim His truth, for local churches to radiate God's love and especially for there to be a supernatural hunger for God's word in the Gen Z-ers. And for the church to be ready to teach, love, guide and disciple them when they do come. This has been a profound experience, and the interesting thing is, I don't want to lose this urge to pray and intercede. I don't want to forget, ever, to pray daily for our nation's young people.
I can't wait to hear the other stories from this fast. Thank you for heading this up, to God be all the glory, and may He bless Gen Z and their families mightily in 2022!
Thank you!

I have been set free from a very negative attitude regarding a particular aspect of my job. I knew my attitude was wrong, but I had no power to change it. But in an instant, during my devotional time, the Holy Spirit brought it to my attention and at that moment, it was just gone! It's been so great to go to work and not have that "attitude" hanging over me.
On another day, I found total peace, for the first time, over the loss of one of my daughters, who had died as a result of a drug overdose. The Lord spoke to me, at the time, to keep my eyes on Him. I tried, but I struggled. Long story short, I could never fully forgive her and give her back to the Lord in my heart until now. God is so good.

The fast I chose was to fast sunrise to sunset. The first week was nothing really significant. It was almost like I was just intermittent fasting, even though I was praying it was pretty much business as usual. But by Tuesday of this week God started to move. He started to show me the areas of my life where I was lacking obedience. He started to show me Matthew 6:33 and the depths of that scripture. And so for the last three days of the fast I stepped it up to liquids only for Friday thru Sunday. I want to take this time to really press in on this scripture and to walk away with a clear understanding of what God will have me do next to promote his kingdom and to walk in righteousness. To God All the Glory, be blessed !!!

Thank you again, for your leadership in this vital ministry. I began this 2 week prayer initiative by starting my day with the Lord at 5am, fasting until 1pm. During these past days, God has sent such wonderful blessings. He has shown me areas in my life for which I should have asked for forgiveness. I am more conscious now of this stumbling block. I feel clean and very light on my feet these past few days! God's word is sweet and He has assured me that "what I have said, I will do". I feel more loved than ever, more committed to His will for my life, and hungrier than ever before. He is growing me up and giving me more of his divine nature! Every morning I think of all my brothers and sisters as we unite together in prayer and fasting before the Lord. I lift each one to God that He would strengthen and encourage in their walk. I am thankful for each one! Praise the Lord for His love and mercy for us. I am "locked and loaded" and ready for battle!
God bless you!

Wow! Today's devotion by Mr. Racine is beautiful! Citing all of the Scriptures which give meaning to his message, I am encouraged and refreshed to know that our prayer & fasting is part of God's desire to follow Him. I find the Holy Spirit giving me supernatural strength of resolve to fellowship with the Lord day and night! May our precious Lord be glorified, and May He draw ever nearer to each of us as we seek Him! Thank you

I started off the fast feeling unsure of whether I would be able to make it through. I usually get quite lightheaded and a bit foggy in the brain during the day while fasting but I decided to move forward in God's strength. While praying a few days after I began the fast I realized what an honor and privilege it was to know God and to have the opportunity through fasting to grow closer to him. I felt so empowered and blessed. The days after I have felt stronger in my faith and in my body.
I praise God for the work he is doing through me and all the other participants of this fast. I also am so very grateful to Chistian Union for being an organization that answers the call of helping God's people seek him wholeheartedly through programs such as this. To God be the Glory!!

One of the things I implemented during this fast was to listen to only Christian music when I would turn on the FM dial and it was so encouraging! I don’t know if that was the Holy Spirit convicting me to do so or not, but I digress. Last night the song “My Jesus” by Anne Wilson kept playing over and over in my mind and in my heart. Also, I know someone who was struggling recently and I was able to help by thinking of numerous scriptures that applied to the situation . Praise God for being the awesome God He is! Thank you and CU for all your love and support!

God told me to give a friend $500. I did. Then I received a bonus at one of my jobs that has blessed me $250 every 2 weeks til April. God is so good.

I shared with others some of the scriptures. Powerful. I've thought for a long time that the Holy Spirit does not receive the recognition He deserves from my sisters and brothers in Christ. And obedience is something that I learned was and is so important to our Father. Thank you. It was an awesome two weeks.

Because I am of senior age I have participated in the fast, but not fasting from sunup to sundown, but a good portion of the day. The daily devotionals have been a great helper and the good Lord has answered prayers for me in regards of getting me back into attending church. I have been praying for God to show me a new church to go to. I've been live streaming ever since the beginning of the covid shut down. So praises and glory to GOD in the highest. I feel so much better being closer to him. Thank you for your encouragement and may you be blessed in many ways.

Praise God for his abundant blessing and the increasing reach of Christian Union Ministries. This morning I spoke at length to a friend in Kenya who has numerous problems with their start up church. The Spirit was leading me through the conversation and we allied about drawing close to the Lord as mentioned in James chapter 4.
I have mentioned the changes in my life since I have repented and began fasting and praying.

These email messages are a great blessing to me. They are so well written and thoughtful and edifying in expounding on God's words. They're helping me to keep my eyes on God throughout the day and prayerfully draw closer to Him. I'm thankful the Lord led me to sign up for this fast.

Is this something you would like?
Get my free courseGod has a word for every nation. That’s why 4,500 American Christians joined CU Day and Night’s fourteen-day fast on January 3-16, 2022.
If at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom, that I will pluck up and break down and destroy it, and if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I intended to do to it. And if at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will build and plant it, and if it does evil in my sight, not listening to my voice, then I will relent of the good that I had intended to do to it. – Jeremiah 18:7-10
When Christians in a nation humble themselves with fasting, prayer, seeking God’s face, and repenting of our sins, God not only blesses the individual Christians who do so, but He also blesses the entire nation. We are the salt and light to the world around us; our world will decay and descend into darkness unless we, as Christians, walk uprightly with our Lord.
During the past few decades, the church in America has not taken seriously enough the need to pray, fast, and repent. But in decades and centuries previously, our forefathers in the faith earnestly and sacrificially sought God, and the Lord blessed our nation in revival and reformation in the 1700s, 1800s, and 1900s.
Thank You, Father, for all that You did and will continue to do as a result of Your people’s Spirit-empowered obedience in fasting and praying in Jesus' name. Pour out mercy and grace on us, our families, churches, communities, and nation so that Jesus will be lifted high and people will be drawn to Him. Amen!
